The Social Justice Committee achieves its goals through education and advocacy.
Through education programs, the SJC help individuals and organizations become actively involved in building a more just global society. We offer unique and engaging educational materials and events, including videos, online resources, interactive presentations, public speaking tours and much more.
The SJC advocacy program engages policy makers at the national and international level through participation in and initiation of campaigns with citizens of the Global South. The SJC is the most active NGO in Canada in pushing for greater accountability and transparency at the World Bank and International Monetary Fund. We also play an active role in the global movement to regulate Canadian mining companies operating in the South, working closely with partners in Central America, as well as with coalitions in Canada.
