The Dictatorship of debt

The Social Justice Committee's theatre project travels across time, from colonialism to the 21st century, to explore the origins of debt and poverty in third world countries. This dinner-theatre offers a satirical and amusing look at globalization. From Christopher Columbus to Bretton Woods, without forgetting the Cold War and the Structural Adjustment programs, SJC offers a unique opportunity to become more familiar with this international issue and to understand better how many countries of the Third World became indebted and poor and what are the crushing impacts that these debts continues to have on their population today.
In addition, its interactive concept allows you to participate in the evolution of the evening as a way to gain deeper understanding of the issue.
Ever since its beginning, more than 12 years ago, the Social Justice Committee's theatre project has taken different shapes and has evolved with the current events, while preserving its unique interactive dinner-theatre concept. For more information on the project, follow this link.
