Morning Session:
8:30am -12pm Where: Holiday Inn Montreal Midtown, 420 Sherbrooke West

Evening session:
6:30pm-9pm Where: Double Tree Plaza Hotel Montreal, 505 Sherbrooke St. East.
Presentations by registered public participants (6:30pm - 8:00pm)
Presentation by John Ruggie, UN Special Representative on the issue of human rights and transnational corporations and other business enterprises (8:00pm - 9:00pm)
*NB the morning and evening sessions will be held at different hotels.

Meeting for Round Table Presenters

For those of you who have registered to make a public presentation at the Round Tables, you may be interested in attending a meeting to share ideas about what recommendations and suggestions to make at the Round Tables. The meeting is open to all those who will present and is designed to discuss and share info, allowing each person to decide for themselves what they would like to say.

When: Tues. Nov. 7 at 1:30pm.
Where: UQAM au Pavillon de l'Éducation (1205 St-Denis, angle René-Lévesque) niveau métro, local N-M310 *you must go downstairs.

Public Conference on mining issues

When: Monday, Nov 13th from 9-4:30pm
Where: UQAM, Pavilion Sherbrooke, 200 Sherbrooke St. West, Room SH2800.
What: The Comité chrétien pour les droits humains en Amérique Latine and a coalition of Montreal organizations have organized a public conference to increase public awareness and education on the issues surrounding mining and extractive industries operating overseas. Speakers include representatives from organizations dealing with mining issues in southern countries as well as local experts.
